My name is Rose and I started Elkismom Petsitting back in 2003 when I saw a need for personal in-home pet care. This is also the year that I lost my best friend Elki, who was a member of my family for almost 17 years. I have always loved all animals and would bring strays home all the time when I was a child. I miss Elki's companionship every day.

I am a member of PSI, an organization for Petcare Professionals and am Certified in Pet First-Aid. I am also Bonded and Insured.

I understand the special needs of older pets as well as young puppies/kittens and everything in between. I also have a special understanding of those pets that have a fear of thunder/fireworks and anxiety, etc. as I experienced this with my own dog (Elki) during most of her life.
Currently I have two cats, two hamsters, and three foster guinea pigs.
